This two-day lab moves developers from older ASP.NET 4.x habits to modern .NET and ASP.NET Core. Participants code from the first hour, building one small application across both days: a leave-request portal with an API, Razor pages, EF Core data access, authentication and tests. They refactor legacy-style C# into modern features, trace the middleware pipeline, fix deliberately slow LINQ queries and package the app in a container. The capstone is a code review and live demo against a feature brief.
