What you learn in each
Train the Trainer covers the core craft of training over four days: presentation dynamics, training fundamentals and client needs analysis, training design and content development (slide decks, facilitator guides, participant manuals), engaging delivery for diverse groups, and measuring training effectiveness. Master Trainer Certification goes deeper into the science and design of training: your identity as a master trainer, designing a Train the Trainer workshop, instructional design models, lessons from great speakers, turning observation into training content, recasting topics, activity and simulation design, and facilitation techniques drawn from theatre and dramatics. You finish by showing that you can train other trainers.
Which one should you take?
- Choose Train the Trainer if you are starting out as a trainer, you train as part of another role (for example as a manager or subject-matter expert), or you have been training without a structured method and want a recognised certificate.
- Choose Master Trainer Certification if you already design and deliver training regularly, you are responsible for developing other trainers, or you want to run Train the Trainer workshops yourself.
- Not sure? If you have not yet delivered training regularly, start with Train the Trainer. The Master Trainer program assumes you are already comfortable in front of a group.
For organisations
Both programs can run as a private corporate batch. A corporate Train the Trainer batch builds a pool of internal trainers, and runs for 2, 3 or 4 days (4 recommended) after a short needs analysis. Organisations with their own academies can then develop a smaller group of senior trainers into master trainers who certify and coach internal trainers. Ask for a corporate proposal.

Do I need Train the Trainer certification before Master Trainer Certification?
It is the usual path. The Master Trainer program is designed for people who already design and deliver training regularly, such as experienced trainers, coaches and training managers. If you are new to training, start with Train the Trainer and build delivery experience first.
How long does each program take?
Bodhih's Train the Trainer open workshop runs for 4 days, Wednesday to Saturday. The Master Trainer Certification is blended: five weekly live online sessions of three hours each, followed by a three-day residential immersion that ends with a competency assessment.
How much do the certifications cost?
The Train the Trainer open workshop costs ₹40,000 plus GST in person or ₹35,000 plus GST live virtual. The 2026 Master Trainer cohort fee was ₹80,000 plus GST, including the residential immersion. The fee for the next Master Trainer cohort is confirmed when its dates are announced.
