Why executive presence decides who gets heard
As leaders move up, the audience changes from peers to executives, boards and global clients. Content alone is no longer enough. How a leader frames an idea, holds a room and handles pushback shapes whether the idea moves forward.
Many capable Indian professionals, particularly in engineering and GCC roles, are trained to be thorough rather than concise. Executive presence training helps them keep their substance while adding the clarity and composure senior audiences expect.

How we deliver it
Video-based feedback
Participants are recorded at the start and end, so they can see their own progress rather than rely on impressions.
High-stakes simulations
Facilitators and peers play demanding executives, board members and clients to create realistic pressure.
Small cohorts
Groups are kept small so each leader gets substantial practice time and individual feedback.
Optional coaching
One-to-one coaching sessions after the workshop help leaders apply the skills to specific meetings and presentations.
Tailored versions
For women leaders
Addresses the double binds women leaders often face, such as being seen as either too soft or too assertive, and builds strategies for visibility and voice.
For technical leaders
Helps engineers, architects and scientists simplify complex ideas and present to non-technical executives.
Executive coaching format
A 1:1 format over three months for senior leaders, built around their real presentations and stakeholder meetings.
How we measure impact
We use the ADDIE Evaluate stage to track both confidence and observable behaviour. Leaders complete a self and stakeholder rating of executive presence before the program and again after 90 days, which can run as a 360° pulse on AssessAll. Before and after video recordings are compared against a presence rubric. Participants also review 30, 60 and 90 day goals with their manager or coach, focusing on real high-stakes meetings.
Pair this program with AssessAll, Bodhih’s AI assessment platform, for pre- and post-program skill measurement.
Frequently asked questions
What is executive presence?
Executive presence is the ability to inspire confidence in others that you can lead and make sound decisions. It is usually described through three pillars: gravitas, meaning composure and judgement; communication, meaning clarity and impact; and appearance, meaning how you present yourself. It is about credibility, not charisma or a particular personality type.
Can executive presence be learned?
Yes. While some people have a natural head start, the behaviours behind presence can be learned: structuring messages, managing voice and body language, staying calm under pressure and handling challenge. With deliberate practice and honest feedback, most leaders see visible change within weeks of focused effort on a few habits.
How do I improve my executive presence?
Start by getting feedback on how others experience you. Then lead with your conclusion, cut hedging language, slow down, and pause before answering tough questions. Prepare for key meetings by anticipating objections. Practise on video so you can see yourself as others do. Our program structures this process with coaching and simulations.
What are the three pillars of executive presence?
The most widely used model describes gravitas, communication and appearance. Gravitas covers confidence, decisiveness and grace under pressure. Communication includes speaking skills, command of a room and reading an audience. Appearance is about being polished and appropriate for the setting. The program works on all three, with most time spent on gravitas and communication.
How can I show executive presence in virtual meetings?
Frame your camera at eye level, use good light and a clear microphone, and look at the lens when making key points. Speak in short, structured messages and pause to invite input. Keep your energy slightly higher than in person. The virtual presence module lets you practise and review your on-screen presence.
Is executive presence training only for senior executives?
No. It is valuable for anyone moving into roles where they must influence senior stakeholders, such as senior managers, high-potential leaders, technical experts and client-facing leaders. Building presence before a promotion often makes the transition easier, because senior stakeholders already see you as ready for the next role.
Does the program change who I am?
No. The aim is authentic presence, not a script or a borrowed personality. We help you understand your natural strengths, change a small number of habits that undermine your credibility, and adapt your style to different audiences while staying true to your values and culture.
