An emotional intelligence and resilience learning journey is a 4 to 6 month program that builds self-awareness, self-management, empathy and resilience at work. It begins with an emotional intelligence profile, then combines workshops, practice labs, group coaching, reflection journals, microlearning nudges and a post-assessment, so people handle pressure, feedback and conflict better in daily work.
- Duration: 4 months (Core) to 6 months (Deep dive)
- For: Professionals, team leads and client-facing staff
- Formats: In person · Virtual practice labs · Group coaching · Nudges
- Designed with the ADDIE model and customised after a needs analysis
Also known as: emotional intelligence training program, resilience training program, EQ development program for employees, emotional intelligence and resilience workshop

Why a journey, not a one-off workshop
Emotional skills are habits, and habits need repetition over weeks. Spaced practice with reflection and coaching is what makes the change stick.
Employers expect nearly 40% of the skills required on the job to change by 2030, and 59 in every 100 workers to need reskilling or upskilling.
A review of 317 experiments found that spacing learning over time gives better long-term retention than massing it into one session.

Sample workshop plan: 3 workshop days, hands-on
These are the three classroom days inside the emotional intelligence and resilience journey. Workshop 1 builds self-awareness: naming emotions, mapping triggers and practising the pause. Workshop 2 starts from three weeks of trigger logs and turns to pressure, energy and recovery, ending with a personal resilience plan. The practice lab in week 10 is where it all comes together: participants rehearse one real difficult conversation with a professional actor and leave with a date to hold it.
Participants leave with a wider emotion vocabulary, their first trigger map and a pause they can use in the next tense moment.

A 4-month (Core) to 6-month (Deep dive) journey with three full-day in-person workshops (09:30–17:30) in weeks 3, 6 and 10, woven between the EI profile, daily reflection, buddy conversations, group coaching circles, nudges and monthly refreshers. A sample design: every Bodhih program is customised after a short needs analysis.
How long are the workshops in the emotional intelligence and resilience learning journey?
The recommended design has three full-day in-person workshops, from 09:30 to 17:30, in weeks 3, 6 and 10 of a 4 to 6 month journey. Between them, participants keep a daily journal, meet a buddy and join group coaching circles. The workshops can also run as six live virtual labs of three hours.
What activities are included in the emotional intelligence and resilience learning journey workshops?
Participants map their own triggers, drill the pause against provocative lines, audit their energy from their real calendar and plan a heavy quarter-end week. They debate being always available, practise boundary conversations and finish by rehearsing one real difficult conversation with a professional actor.

Frequently asked questions
What is an emotional intelligence learning journey?
A 4 to 6 month program that builds self-awareness, self-management, empathy and resilience through an EI profile, workshops, practice, coaching, nudges and a post-assessment.
Can emotional intelligence be improved through training?
Yes, when training includes practice and feedback over time. That is why this journey uses daily reflection, coaching and spaced refreshers rather than a single workshop.
How is emotional intelligence measured?
With an emotional intelligence profile on AssessAll before and after the journey, plus feedback from colleagues on specific behaviours.
Is this a wellbeing or mental health program?
No. It builds workplace skills such as self-management and resilience. It is not therapy. For clinical concerns, people should speak with a qualified professional.
Can it run online?
Yes. Workshops can run as live virtual labs, and coaching circles and nudges work well online.
Is the design fixed?
No. It is one of two sample soft skills journeys, customised to your people, culture and goals.
