Why Singapore employers are building internal training capability

Structured, employer-backed learning is part of working life in Singapore, and many staff expect it. That puts pressure on in-house experts to teach well, not just know their subject.

Regional headquarters also run training for teams in markets with very different cultures and learning expectations. A train the trainer certification in Singapore gives those internal trainers one shared method for designing and running sessions that travel well across Asia-Pacific.

In 2024, 82.5% of employed resident trainees in Singapore received employer-sponsored training.

Singapore's business landscape and what trainers there need

Finance, insurance, legal and consulting firms concentrate in the CBD around Raffles Place and Marina Bay. Aviation, logistics and technology teams cluster in the east around Changi Business Park and Paya Lebar, while one-north, Science Park and the Jurong Lake District host research, advanced manufacturing and green technology.

In-house trainers in Singapore often teach regulatory updates, technical processes and product knowledge to colleagues across the region. Our train the trainer certification in Singapore tailors practice topics to that reality, including virtual delivery to several countries at once and examples for audiences across Asia.

Bodhih has no office in Singapore. Our master trainers travel from Bengaluru to run sessions at your premises or a venue you hire, or deliver live virtual. Singapore is two and a half hours ahead of India, so a 10:30 am Singapore start is 8:00 am for our team.

How we deliver it

Practice-heavy design

Most of the time is spent designing and delivering, with short inputs from the master trainer in between.

Regional case work

Scenarios reflect teams in different Asia-Pacific markets, so participants rehearse the situations they will actually face.

Hybrid rehearsal

Participants practise running sessions with remote attendees, mirroring how regional training is usually delivered.

Peer review

Colleagues give each other structured feedback, building a habit of peer coaching that continues after certification.

07

Tailored versions

For financial and professional services

Emphasis on teaching regulation, products and client processes clearly to time-poor, highly qualified audiences.

For manufacturing and research teams

Practice built around technical procedures, safety-critical steps and on-the-job instruction in plants and labs.

For regional HQ L&D teams

Live virtual delivery with a focus on training colleagues across several Asia-Pacific countries at once.

08

How we measure impact

Evaluation follows the ADDIE model. Before and after the program, participants can complete a training competency assessment on AssessAll, Bodhih's AI assessment platform, giving you a clear picture of progress. Teach-backs are scored against a shared rubric, and managers join short check-ins to agree where new trainers will deliver. A 30-60-90 day follow-up reviews how many sessions each trainer has run and what their learners say.

FAQs

Frequently asked questions

How can I become a corporate trainer in Singapore?

Most corporate trainers start as subject experts and then learn how to design and deliver learning. A train the trainer certification gives you that method. Bodhih's program ends with an observed teach-back, and certificates can be verified by employers, which helps you show the skill when you move into a training role.

Is this program eligible for SkillsFuture or other Singapore funding?

Please do not assume eligibility. Bodhih is based in Bengaluru and this program is not presented as a Singapore government-funded or accredited course. If funding or a particular accreditation matters for your organisation, check those requirements with Bodhih before you book so we can advise honestly.

How long does the certification take?

The recommended format is four days in person. We also offer a three-day focused format and a two-day short-term format for groups with limited time. Live virtual cohorts cover the same content in shorter blocks across more days, and every version is customised to your trainers' starting point.

Can APAC teams join live virtual?

Yes. We schedule live virtual sessions to suit Singapore and the other time zones in your group. Because Singapore is two and a half hours ahead of India, a morning or midday Singapore slot works well for our Bengaluru-based master trainers while still suiting colleagues further east.

What will participants be able to do afterwards?

Participants will be able to analyse a training need, design a session with the ADDIE model, create engaging content, facilitate confidently, question and give feedback, and assess what learners can do. Bodhih's Train the Trainer program is ranked among the global top 7 in the Train the Trainer market by London-based research firm Technavio.

Do you run sessions at our Singapore office?

Yes. Our master trainers travel from Bengaluru to your office or a venue you hire in Singapore. Bodhih does not have a Singapore office, so we plan logistics directly with your team, including room set-up for group work and teach-backs.
