Experts suggest four strategies: adopt a fresh anti-procrastination approach until the habit breaks, reward yourself for finishing tasks on time, prompt yourself with phrases such as "Do it now", and treat wasted time as a cost to your employer.

- Anti-Procrastination Strategies: Adopting a fresh approach to overcome procrastination will be ideal when procrastination becomes a habit. Procrastination can be eliminated when it is encountered by a good approach. Habits only stop being habits when you have persistently stopped practising them.
- Rewarding: One can make up his own rewards for completing a certain task on time and notice the happiness of cultivating the habit of timeliness and maintaining ones reputation.
- Programming the subconscious mind: One can get rid or procrastination by using powerful words that drive the energy and enthusiasm like “Do it now”. One will have the subconscious mind programmed into starting the most important task and completing that job before doing anything else.
- Measure time in terms of cost to employer: One can work by considering time as a cost to employer and analyse the loss incurred by the employer by wasting or delaying a task. One has to perceive that one has not delivered the value for money for his employer by not completing a task at hand on its specified time.
