MEDDICC and MEDDPICC Training for Enterprise Deal Qualification

A forecast full of 'commit' deals that quietly vanish at quarter end usually points to one thing: weak qualification. This MEDDPICC training gives enterprise sellers a shared language to test every deal, find the real economic buyer, build a genuine champion and map the decision and paper process before it surprises them.

01

Why deal qualification matters more than ever

Enterprise buying groups keep getting bigger, and every extra stakeholder is another place a deal can stall. Sellers who rely on one friendly contact discover too late that the real decision sits two levels higher, with procurement and legal waiting in the wings.

MEDDPICC training gives teams a disciplined way to see those risks early. When the whole team uses the same qualification language, forecast calls become shorter, deal reviews become sharper and time goes to the opportunities that can actually close.

79.5% of sales leaders surveyed said more decision makers and larger buying committees are a challenge.

Build and test a champion

Distinguish a friendly contact from a real champion who has influence, a personal stake and will sell internally.

Map decision and paper process

Document every approval, security review, legal step and procurement requirement between verbal yes and signed contract.

05

Quantify metrics and pain

Link the buyer's pain to measurable business outcomes that justify the investment to finance.

How we deliver it

Applied to live opportunities

Every participant works on two or three current deals, so the qualification gaps they find are real and actionable.

Customised using ADDIE

We analyse your sales stages, CRM fields and recent wins and losses, then align the framework with your existing sales methodology.

Independent, practical teaching

Bodhih teaches the widely used MEDDPICC concepts in its own program. We are not affiliated with or certified by any trademark owner and do not issue their certification.

Managers in the room

Where possible, sales managers join the deal review module so the framework becomes part of weekly forecasting, not just training.

06

Tailored versions

For SaaS and cloud sales teams

Focus on security reviews, pilots and proofs of concept, expansion deals and multi-year subscription paper processes.

For IT services and GCC business development

Qualifying large outsourcing and transformation deals with global stakeholders, RFP-led evaluations and vendor consolidation.

For sales leaders

A half-day session on running MEDDPICC-based forecast calls and deal reviews that coach rather than interrogate.

07

How we measure impact

We apply the Evaluate stage of ADDIE. Participants complete a pre- and post-program assessment on AssessAll testing qualification judgement through deal scenarios. Managers audit MEDDPICC fields in CRM at 30 days. At 60 and 90 days we review agreed indicators such as forecast accuracy, win rate on qualified deals, no-decision losses and time to disqualify weak opportunities, and share an impact summary.

FAQs

Frequently asked questions

What does MEDDPICC stand for?

MEDDPICC stands for Metrics, Economic Buyer, Decision Criteria, Decision Process, Paper Process, Identify Pain, Champion and Competition. Each element is a question the seller must answer with evidence to judge whether a deal is real and winnable. Teams use it to qualify opportunities, plan next steps and improve forecast accuracy.

What is the difference between MEDDIC, MEDDICC and MEDDPICC?

MEDDIC is the original six-element framework. MEDDICC adds Competition, and MEDDPICC also adds Paper Process, covering procurement, legal and contracting steps. The added elements matter most in enterprise deals where competitors and paperwork often cause late surprises. Our program covers all three so you can adopt the version that fits your sales cycle.

Is Bodhih an official or certified MEDDPICC provider?

No. Bodhih runs its own independent MEDDPICC training that teaches the widely used concepts of the framework. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by or certified by any owner of the MEDDIC, MEDDICC or MEDDPICC trademarks, and we do not issue their certification. The focus is on practical deal skills your team can apply immediately.

How do you identify a real champion?

A real champion has influence in the buying organisation, gains something personally from your solution and is willing to act on your behalf, for example by arranging access to the economic buyer. A friendly contact who shares information but takes no action is a coach, not a champion. The program includes practical tests to tell the difference.

What is the paper process?

The paper process covers everything needed to turn a verbal yes into a signed contract: procurement steps, vendor registration, security and legal review, and approval signatures. Mapping it early prevents deals slipping past quarter end. Participants build a paper process map for a live deal during the training.

Is MEDDPICC suitable for smaller or transactional deals?

Full MEDDPICC is designed for complex, multi-stakeholder B2B deals. For smaller, faster deals, teams often use a lighter version focusing on pain, decision maker and timeline. During design, we help you decide which elements to apply at which deal size so qualification stays useful rather than bureaucratic.

Can MEDDPICC work alongside our existing sales methodology?

Yes. MEDDPICC is a qualification framework, so it sits well alongside consultative, solution or value selling approaches that guide how sellers engage buyers. In the Analyse phase of ADDIE, we map it to your existing stages, CRM fields and terminology so sellers are not asked to learn two competing systems.

Is MEDDPICC training available online?

Yes. We recommend four live virtual sessions of about three hours, with deal-review assignments between sessions. This works well for enterprise teams spread across India, the Middle East, Southeast Asia and other regions. In-person workshops are also available, with master trainers travelling from Bengaluru.
