Prevention of sexual harassment in the workplace training discusses the PoSH act of 2013 (Prevention, Prohibition, and Redress), and offers mandatory education for organizations and its employees.
In light of the #MeToo campaign the global attention today is centred around issues of female harassment and all unfair practices that violate a women’s will or consensus at places work. How did PoSH training start?
In the years of 2017 onwards, most governments across the world hold “Equality of status and opportunity” as an important subject matter of the female equality and security as guaranteed by the Constitution. Prevention of Sexual Harassment in the workplace is a mandatory educational offering for corporates and other organizations that are part of the country’s business landscape. It is essential to understand the broad and specific implications that this law holds.

Bodhih’s workshop will help participants understand multiple aspects of Prevention of Sexual Harassment (PoSH) at workplace. This learning session is based on the Sexual Harassment of Women at Workplace, (Prevention, Prohibition and Redressal) Act, 2013 and administered by the Ministry of Women and Child Development, Government of India (November 2015).

In 2013, India’s first comprehensive legislation specifically addressing the issue of harassment at work – The PoSH (Prevention of Sexual Harassment at the Workplace) Law was formulated with the core objective of protecting employees against Sexual Harassment and promising a safe, secure and dignified working environment for them.
The POSH training workshop thereafter talk about the PoSH act in detail, and how the Prevention, Prohibition and Redressal Act is a legislative act in India that seeks to protect women from sexual harassment at their place of work.
Bodhih’s facilitator highlights the law’s core focus to create a safe and respectful workplace by prevention and appropriate reporting of incidents. Workshop learners comprehend that in accordance of the act, how various companies should have a Zero tolerance policy towards sexual harassment and formulate a policy for employees and associates of the company, management and non-management personnel. The company also is required to constitute an Internal Committee (IC) for prohibition, prevention and redress of Sexual Harassment at the workplace.
