## Sample training plan: 4-day hands-on design

This four-day lab takes administrators, developers and DevOps engineers from container basics to a secured, observable application delivered through an automated pipeline. Participants work on one three-part application all week: a web front end, an orders API and a database for a fictional food delivery startup in Bengaluru. They containerise it, run it with Compose, deploy it on Kubernetes with services, config and autoscaling, package it with Helm, build a CI/CD pipeline with tests and scans, and handle a live production incident in the capstone.

82% hands-on practice · 27 contact hours · Cohort: 10–18 participants, each with a laptop, a Linux terminal and access to a lab cluster · In person · Live virtual

### How long is DevOps with Docker and Kubernetes training?

The recommended design is four days in person, from 09:30 to 17:30, or eight live virtual labs of three and a half hours each over three weeks. A two-day containers-only version is available. A 30-day pipeline clinic follows for real pipelines and manifests.

### What activities are included in DevOps with Docker and Kubernetes training?

Participants play a release relay game, containerise a three-part food delivery app, fix six planted faults in a broken cluster, autoscale through a lunch rush, build a secured CI/CD pipeline and handle a wave of production incidents in a capstone simulation.

## When to choose this

✓**Your organisation is moving applications to containers or Kubernetes**✓**Releases are slow, manual or error-prone and you want to automate them**✓**Developers and operations teams need a shared way of working**✓**Security issues are being found late and you want DevSecOps practices**

## Frequently asked questions

### What is DevOps training?

DevOps training teaches the practices and tools that help development and operations teams deliver software quickly and reliably. It usually covers version control, CI/CD pipelines, containers, Kubernetes, infrastructure as code, monitoring and security. Bodhih's program is hands-on, so participants build and deploy real workloads rather than only learning the theory.

### Should I learn Docker before Kubernetes?

Yes. Kubernetes runs containers, so understanding how images are built and how containers behave makes Kubernetes much easier to learn. Bodhih's program starts with Docker fundamentals on the first day and then moves to Kubernetes architecture and workloads. Participants who already know Docker well can get a shorter refresher.

### What is DevSecOps and is it covered?

DevSecOps means building security into every stage of delivery instead of checking it only at the end. In practice, that includes scanning images and dependencies, managing secrets safely, and using least-privilege access in Kubernetes. The program includes these practices throughout the labs, so security becomes a normal part of the pipeline.

### Does this DevOps course help prepare for Kubernetes certification?

The program builds hands-on skills that overlap with Kubernetes administrator and developer certifications, such as deploying workloads, configuring services and troubleshooting. It helps teams prepare, but Bodhih does not deliver the certification exams. Additional exam-style lab practice can be added for teams that plan to certify.

### What are the prerequisites for Docker and Kubernetes training?

Participants should be comfortable with basic Linux or Windows server administration and the command line. Some familiarity with an application stack and Git is helpful. Each participant needs a laptop that can run Docker, or access to cloud lab environments, which Bodhih confirms during setup before the program starts.
