## Sample training plan: 5-day hands-on design

This five-day lab takes developers and administrators from cloud fundamentals to a secure, observable, event-driven application running on Google Cloud. Participants work in their own sandbox projects and build one application all week: an appointment booking service for a fictional chain of diagnostic clinics, written in Node.js. They set up projects and budgets, deploy to virtual machines, App Engine and Cloud Run, add managed databases, containerise for Kubernetes, wire up Pub/Sub events and finish with a monitored capstone deployment.

82% hands-on practice · 33.8 contact hours · Cohort: 10–18 participants, each with a laptop, Linux command-line familiarity and working Node.js knowledge · In person · Live virtual

Recommended: 5 days in person (09:30–17:30) for the Google Cloud developer program, or 10 × 3.5-hour live virtual labs, in sandbox projects set up for the course; a separate 3-day DevOps on AWS program is available. A sample design: every Bodhih program is customised after a short needs analysis.

### How long is cloud computing training?

The recommended Google Cloud developer program runs five days in person, from 09:30 to 17:30, or ten live virtual labs of three and a half hours each. A separate three-day DevOps on AWS program covers infrastructure as code and CI/CD. A 30-day clinic follows for real workloads.

### What activities are included in cloud computing training?

Participants build one clinic booking app all week in their own sandbox. They deploy it to a VM, App Engine, Cloud Run and GKE, survive a rush-hour load challenge, restore a deleted database, add event-driven SMS confirmations and demo a monitored, secured capstone to a panel.

## When to choose this

✓**Your organisation is migrating workloads to Google Cloud or AWS**✓**Developers need to build cloud-native applications**✓**Deployments on AWS are manual and need automating**✓**Architects need a shared view of cloud design choices across providers**

## Frequently asked questions

### What are the basics of cloud computing?

Cloud computing means using computing resources such as servers, storage, databases and software over the internet, paying for what you use. The basics include the service models IaaS, PaaS and SaaS, regions and availability zones, the shared responsibility model for security, and managing identities and costs. The program starts with these foundations.

### Should my team learn AWS, Azure or Google Cloud?

It depends on the platform your organisation uses or plans to adopt. The core concepts of compute, storage, networking, identity and automation transfer well across AWS, Azure and Google Cloud. Bodhih's current programs focus on Google Cloud for developers and DevOps on AWS, and they can be customised for Azure or a multi-cloud environment.

### Does this cloud training help prepare for certification?

Yes. The programs build hands-on skills that overlap with associate-level developer and DevOps certifications from Google Cloud and AWS. Bodhih helps teams prepare, but it does not deliver the official vendor exams. Exam-style practice questions and review sessions can be added for teams that plan to certify.

### What prerequisites are needed for AWS DevOps training?

Participants should have working knowledge of a programming language, intermediate command-line skills on Linux or Windows, and experience with the AWS console and CLI. Familiarity with AWS operations and development basics helps. Bodhih can add a short AWS fundamentals session for teams that need it before the DevOps program.

### How are cloud labs run during training?

Participants work in cloud sandbox accounts or projects set up for the program, or in the client's own training accounts where preferred. Every participant deploys and configures services themselves. Labs follow cost-safe practices, and resources are cleaned up at the end. The same approach works for in-person and live virtual delivery.
